Mid Kent Water
Eclipse Scientific Group
Inenco Group
Halcrow Water Services
This acquisition demonstrates Mid Kent’s continuing long term strategy of broadening its range of non-regulated activities in related service sectors whilst increasing significantly the profit contribution from outside its regulated water company subsidiary.

Inenco has over 31 years’ experience of providing services to industrial, commercial and public sector clients. As markets have grown and changed over the years, Inenco has evolved to provide consultancy services focused around utilities, solutions and business cost management. The areas of greatest cost such as gas and electricity supply, water, data and telecoms are particularly open to savings due to the wide range of tariffs now available. In addition, Inenco provides business information services in areas such as:
estate utility purchasing;
data services;
business rates appeals;
diesel bunkering services.

Customer benefits
The company helps its customers achieve best practice in the field of utility purchase and use. With service level agreement offerings, dedicated relationship management and customer driven new product development, Inenco delivers commercial and financial benefits for budget holders. The specialist customer service staff is experienced at facilitating individual and team partnerships with a view to improving efficiencies and effectiveness.

As an example of the type of service offered, a complete strategic review of telecommunications can include the following:
digital access for speed and cost reductions;
credit card authorisation technologies;
line rationalisation and ISDN;
call barring, monitoring & targeting, management reporting;
intranet and internet for training and HO communications;
improved site security;
ongoing bill verification and project management.

Our track record
Deregulation has provided customers with a bewildering array of choices of both provider and tariff structures. Our role, as a proven independent market expert, is to provide professional consultancy services to help customers reduce their costs over the entire range of utilities and associated business areas. We have already provided tailored solutions to high profile blue chip clients such as MBNA, Arcadia, JP Morgan, Royal Bank of Scotland, Debenham’s, Sainsbury’s and Homebase, United Biscuits and Texaco. We enjoy an industry wide reputation for our expertise. Substantial investment in manpower resources and sophisticated IT systems demonstrates our commitment to maintain and build on that reputation in the future.

Smaller fleet users often struggle to achieve the prices and controls of their bigger competitors. Inenco gives its customers an advantage by improving purchasing and control by providing management reports and large volume purchasing power.
Texaco required an overview of their telecommunications infrastructure so that it could be rationalised to improve support to business needs such as on-line authorisation. Inenco proposed the solution and project managed its implementation on behalf of the customer.
The Inenco process of utility and energy cost control starts with a briefing on existing systems and management. Options open to customers can be bewildering and complex so a creative approach and understanding is crucial. Here at Canary Wharf we manage the electrical supply, whilst at United Biscuits our solution included the supply of a back-up generator. Utility and energy cost solutions can vary but the results are significant to our customers’ bottom line.
