Kopiaste! Welcome!

Kopiaste is a word synonymous with Cypriot hospitality and attitude to the many visitors who come to the island each year. It means come in to my home or restaurant, sit down, relax, have a drink and perhaps something to eat. Kopiaste is a great big Welcome and that is how we'd like our guests to feel at our two villas in the Paphos area – the area we consider to be the most beautiful and welcoming on the south of the island.

The villas are our second homes and we visit them as often as we can: to relax by the pool or to sit on one of the balconies at Emma looking down towards the coast and the glittering lights of Paphos; or to enjoy, closer at hand, the indescribable pleasure of the sight and sound of the waves breaking on the beach at Coral Bay, whilst slowly cooking kleftico in the large clay oven built into the stepped terraces of Kismet.

If relaxing and soaking up the sun by the pool or beach is not enough for you though, water sports and boat trips, archaeological sites, bars, restaurants and nightclubs are all easily accessible. Venturing further afield, the Troodos mountains offer the opportunity of experiencing Cypriot village life, fabulous views over the island and the possibility of skiing in January or February – even though, on the same day, you could be enjoying an al fresco lunch at Paphos harbour. The city of Nicosia, the only remaining divided city in the world, offers a gateway to the political history of the island and, slightly further still, there’s the chance to visit the dance capital of Europe, Ayia Napa, and its neighbouring beach (Nissi), one of the best on the island.

Whichever type of holiday suits you best, we’re sure that staying in Emma or Kismet will make it more comfortable, enjoyable and memorable.
