Agios Georgios/Sea Caves 12km west from Kato Paphos is the small fishing harbour of Agios Georgios, which sits in a breakwater in front of a small island, and was formerly the important settlement of 'Drepanum' in Roman times. It is now primarily known for its small, quiet shingle beach, souvla and fish restaurants, and dramatic sunsets - from late spring to early winter, when the sun sets at this westerly point, the horizon seems to explode for miles in rich and vibrant shades of amber and red. To the north, you can see the start of the totally unspoilt nature reserve of the Akamas peninsula. The area just before Agios Georgios is known as the Sea Caves, due to the natural caves which have formed at the base of the steep cliffs along the coast. Residents of Agios Georgios and the Sea Caves area can enjoy peaceful and secluded surroundings, but are just minutes away from the amenities of Coral Bay and Peyia. Anarita A small residential village 12km east of Paphos and 2km from the coastal area of Timi near the Paphos International Airport. Anarita retains a wealth of character and tradtitional features, whilst having all the modern facilities such as a supermarket, bank, cafes, tavernas and shops. A very peaceful, country setting.
