Diving is an exciting and adventurous career and, once you have made the decision to become a PADI Diving Instructor, your life will never be the same. In order to succeed in achieving your goal there are a number of PADI program levels to complete. All programs are performance-based, which means that you must meet all performance requirements before you can move on to the next level, and are intended for the unqualified as well as the qualified diver.

The five steps to becoming a PADI Diving Instructor are:

PADI Open Water Diver
The Open Water Diver course is the first entry level program which will introduce you to the underwater world. This course teaches you the first skills you will need to scuba dive. The theory work is outlining the important issues you need to know to be a safe diver in order to gain maximum enjoyment from the underwater world.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
The Advanced Open Water Diver course introduces you to several different underwater activities, such as wreck diving, deep diving, navigation and much more. During these dives you will accomplish simple tasks to help develop your skills, build your confidence and make you feel at ease in the adventurous underwater environment.

PADI Rescue Diver
This very important, interesting and exciting course is the program level at which you begin your leadership training. The Rescue Diver course trains you to become more efficient with your diving skills and teaches you how to prevent and manage emergencies with divers at the surface and underwater.

PADI Dive Master
During the PADI Dive Master course you will learn how to function as an instructional assistant, a dive guide, a counsellor and much more. Your dive theory knowledge will be at a professional level and your dive skills to a demonstration quality. As a dive master you are an important asset to any diving centre and diving instructor. You will also be able to independently certify skin divers and teach Emergency First Aid Response courses after successfully completing the EFR Instructor course.
